We do not believe in guessing or blanket pricing. Each repair is quoted only after checking the
actual problem. Logic board repairs can range between RM500 to RM2000, depending on the issue.
We will always provide a clear breakdown before you decide and there is no obligation to proceed
after diagnosis.
For issues related to the screen, battery, Wi-Fi, water damage, drop impact, speaker, or microphone,
we will need to perform a full check and diagnosis first. This helps us determine whether the
problem is with the specific hardware itself or caused by deeper issues such as signal lines, power
lines, or related components.
We will only confirm the actual cause and provide a proper quotation after completing the
inspection.
Repair time depends on the type of issue. For standard part replacements, we may be able to
complete the repair on the same day if we receive your iMac earlier.
However, for more complex logic board issues, the repair process can take between one to seven
days, depending on the severity of the damage.
To speed up the process, we recommend sending your iMac to us as early as possible so we can
begin the checking and repair work without delay.
We use new and original parts whenever possible. For older models, we may offer high quality
OEM parts as an alternative, especially for clients on a tighter budget, or those who just need the
device to function for a short time (for example, to complete a project or while preparing to buy a
new unit).
We are always transparent about the parts used and will let you know if there is a more affordable
option available, without compromising on quality or reliability.
Our repairs are done properly, not rushed. We do full testing and quality checks before returning
your iMac. Many of our repaired units have been working fine for years. While no repair is 100%
guaranteed forever, we stand by our work and we will always advise you if a fix is temporary or
long term.
No — the price we quote you after diagnosis is final. It already includes labour, cleaning, service
fees, and any applicable taxes. There will be no surprise or additional charges added later.
The only exception is if your device has multiple issues that require one problem to be fixed first in
order to fully diagnose the second. In such cases, we’ll inform you clearly before proceeding.
Rest assured, we do not practise any “++” pricing or hidden fees. Transparency and honesty are part
of our service promise.
Our focus is on repairing the exact issue at the component or logic board level. In many cases,
official service centres may recommend replacing the entire logic board or even the whole unit,
which can be costly and may result in data loss.
At YP Mac, we specialise in micro-soldering and advanced logic board repairs. This allows us to fix
complex issues while aiming to preserve your data whenever possible.
Unlike full replacements, our repair approach is more cost effective and often helps you avoid the
loss of important files, especially if there’s no recent backup.
